My Morning Routine

Hello Everyone,
Today's blog post will be all about my morning routine. Depending on the person and their schedule, mornings can be busy, relaxing, crazy, or peaceful. I strive for my mornings to be peaceful and productive. Who wants to start the day with disheveled hair or being a sweaty mess before the day has even begun? To have a peaceful, productive morning takes skill, practice, and let me be honest, much prayer and time in the word of God.
I hope you all enjoy my morning routine, giving you inspiration to do better in the little things.
I like to get up somewhat early, between the hours of 7-9 A.M. When I first wake up, I'm half asleep with a baby, tired face trying to make sense of all that's going on. Despite all of this, I thank Jesus for blessing me with another day. Life is such a beautiful gift and although, sometimes it doesn't feel like it, it's important to be thankful in your heart and also, with your mouth. Occasionally, I forget to say 'Thank you Jesus for another day', but for the most part, I'm on it! Still half-asleep, I reach for my water in my pretty mason jar, drinking the pure goodness my body needs to start the day off right. I usually add lemon juice or A.C.V. (apple cider vinegar) to my water for my specific health needs + benefits.
Off to the bathroom I go, to take care of my feminine needs! One thing I have to do first when I enter my glorious bathroom is brush my teeth; it's a necessity that makes my world go round. I use a homemade remineralizing toothpaste featuring one of my favorite ingredients: coconut oil (check out my, Items I've Been Enjoying!, post that has the scoop on why I've been enjoying coconut oil). The other ingredient it features, which makes this toothpaste stand out is xylitol. The small crystals help scrub away any plaque or food particles making your mouth clean and happy. The subtle sweet taste isn't a bad addition, either.

After the above is complete, I have my quiet time with Jesus. I need Jesus. He is my everything- the reason I breathe, live, sleep, eat good food, have a beautiful family and home. During this time, I try to focus on Him and pin-point scriptures to pray with on areas of my life needing improving. One way to bring glory to Jesus is by overcoming areas in our lives that don't bring glory to Jesus- yes, it's that simple (although, the process isn't, atleast, for some). The areas could be fear, ungodly stress, anorexia, and worry. Those things aren't in Jesus' will for our lives and bring about deadly results. With that being said, my time with Jesus is crucial, not only for me, but so I can know Him more, live a life worth pleasing to Him, and not forsake my role in being an excellent daughter to my family (no one wants a Debby downer around them or a person in their life, having yet to overcome area/s needing to be overcome). I also like to worship Jesus during this time to put the focus on Him and who He is, not solely on me or my situation.
Exercise time is next and I LOVE it! If I happen to get hungry after my quiet time, which I do at times, I whip up a quick protein shake for sustenance. I've been enjoying jump-roping and have yet to enjoy planking (one day, one day!). I do this for around 40 minutes or until I start to sweat and on good days, feel the burn! Although, I truly don't like the "feel the burn" feeling, it's so rewarding, afterwards.
I couldn't complete my morning routine without making a tasty breakfast! Usually, I go for farm-fresh eggs and a fresh green all cooked in coconut oil with fruit on the side e.g. watermelon, apples, or what's in season. This morning I added a special addition to that outline: sautéed garlic & herb chicken sprinkled with Himalayan pink salt. I had some leftover chicken from our delicious dinner, sliced it, and did what I do best: use up those leftovers to make a beautiful creation. I didn't have any fruit, so the chicken made up for it.

Once my morning routine is complete, it is now time for my day to begin. I hope you all enjoyed this post and stay tuned for the next one, Lord willing.
God bless
Hannah
