When I'm in a rush on those busy mornings or don't feel like whipping out the cast-iron pan, that can only mean one thing: SMOOTHIE TIME! I do like myself a good breakfast, nothing heavy (usually), but filling and healthy. Breakfast is the start to a perfect day and gives me the fuel I need for all that comes my way. I'm a busy young woman, so I need that fuel, trust me!

When my mom and I went to Whole Food's and were waiting in line to checkout #marketingstrategies, I saw these collagen packets and HAD TO TRY! #theywonthistime The color of the packaging was very pretty and if something involves collagen, it has to be good (my theory is simple)!

One of the things I love about this product is that it supports healthy skin, nails, and joints, so yes, if you get enough of it, no more crickety-crackety bones when you go up the steps! This was the perfect addition to my simple smoothie recipe and gave me that boost of collagen I needed. With all that being said, it's time to make our smoothie!

INGREDIENTS/TOOLS

-A good, quality blender

-Bananas, I usually use frozen, but didn't have any in the freezer. Frozen bananas add the perfect consistency to smoothies, like a creamy, decadent slushy. Yes, please!

-Mixed tropical fruit mix from the grocery store containing peaches, pineapples, and other tropical fruits

-Buttermilk + water (I know me adding buttermilk almost made you click off the blog, but trust me, it's good)

-Drizzle of local honey, optional

-And, of course, our Multi Collagen Protein by Dr. Axe

RECIPE

Place all your ingredients in a blender, starting with bananas, then tropical fruit, buttermilk to cover the fruit halfway, then a splash of water, collagen powder, and lastly, drizzle of honey. You don't want too much liquid, but enough, because we want the slushy, creamy consistency. Blend just until combined! I really enjoyed this smoothie and love adding different kinds of supplements to my drinks that have good ingredients.

God bless
