Hello Everyone,

Now, that my family has moved and we have a kitchen of our own, new traditions and better habits have been in the making and how could I not start with the kitchen? It's a place where families gather, good food is made, and love and laughter are shared. You all know how simplicity is my cup of tea, so I hope you enjoy these 3 tips that can help keep your kitchen clean without being overwhelmed by one big mess at the end of the week (we've all been there)!

1. Clean Those Dishes

One thing I've been getting into the habit of doing is doing the dishes quickly and not letting them sit in the sink for too long. I used to be highly skilled in the area of letting dishes sit in the sink and with the sitting comes the smells with the addition of regrets. Keeping up with the dishes is a great habit to get into and it leaves your sink empty- perfect for preparing the next meal!

2. Wipe off the Counters

Yes, that means no more curry kitchen utensils sitting on the counter without having a dish underneath! Taking a damp washcloth and wiping off those countertops when the stain first appears is a kitchen saver. No one wants pasta sauce or curry stains all over their counter, so right when the stain appears, just wipe it.

3. Keep Fridge Neat

I love my fridge... Of course, for what it contains, but also, because it's our first fridge with an ice maker. Right now, our fridge is pretty much empty, so it's easy to keep clean. However, keeping a system of organization can help keep you from feeling like closing your refrigerator door right when you open it. Line up your beverages e.g. orange juice, grape juice, etc. starting with the one used most frequently in the front and the one not, towards the back. Keep all of your veggies in a drawer. Buy containers to store eggs and fun storage bags to store leftovers.

I know these tips are simple, but sometimes simple is best, because you can actually stick with it. I hope you try incorporating some of the tips, if not all, into your daily routine.

See y'all next time, Lord willing,

Hannah
