I have been loving the GAPS inspired meals that have been whipped up in the kitchen lately. My tummy feels better and my skin is becoming more brighter, toned, and less pimplely (haha)! Yes, it's true, it's true; I can see how this diet could heal my gut lining. With that being said, I wanted to share this delicious, anti-inflammatory drink with you all. My diet has changed recently to a more clean, farm fresh, less of an inflammation one and also, one full of PROBIOTICS! I have never had this many probiotics in my life! My family eats healthy already, but it's been taken up a notch. I hope you enjoy this drink and drink it regularly to see its benefits (but, I've learned to start slow with this new diet/lifestyle + make some changes to it for the season of life I'm in). If you're starting a new diet to heal your body, please take one step at a time and don't get overwhelmed or like me, try to do it all at once. I tried to do it all at once, but trust me, it led me to this conclusion: It's gonna be a process and not an easy one.
ABOUT THE DRINK
-Turmeric, also known as curcuma longa, is a plant and a member of the ginger family. It is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and how it improves skin health. If you want a brighter and smoother skin tone, use turmeric! I've always been one to look up what I'm consuming to see how its benefits affect me, especially for the skin! I want to know what I'm eating and how it can help my body and my family's body flourish. So yes, that means you will find me with my chic, sophisticated glasses gazing at a computer or effortlessly flipping through the pages of a book so I can find the details on why what I'm eating is worth it! The only thing I'm not a fan of is how turmeric stains things so easily, so just purchase some utensils for ingredients like turmeric, that you won't mind getting stained.
-Mango, a tropical fruit with a beautiful golden orange, yellow meat, is a delicious treat that I like to enjoy when it's almost ripe (I like the tang and sweet combination). Mangoes can build strong bones, because of their vitamin K content and can improve digestive health with its 2.64 grams of fiber per cup according to Mango.org
-Raw cream is a must for this recipe! Of course, if you can't access raw cream (since it's hard to find), try skimming off a portion of the cream from the top of your raw milk (which is more accessible than raw cream depending on where you live). It is a delicious addition to this smoothie and adds a decadence and creaminess like none other! I LOVE RAW CREAM! Oh, and I forgot to add, the beautiful fats and probiotics it offers! Because the cream is raw, it naturally contains probiotics to help digest milk and the fats add to healthy hair, skin, nails, bones, eyes, and so much more!
INGREDIENTS
-Frozen bananas (to add a smooth, creamy consistency)and pineapples (I purchased one from the store, but you can buy fresh mangoes and pineapples and freeze them yourself)
Frozen bananas (to add a smooth, creamy consistency)
-Raw cream
-Raw milk
-1 tsp turmeric
-1/4 tsp black pepper (Don't be afraid to add it! I didn't taste the black pepper, but you'll need it for this recipe, because it helps our bodies with the absorption of curcumin *an ingredient in turmeric*, so we can get those anti-inflammatory benefits)! #nofearbetterbodiesarenear
*The amount of frozen fruit you add to your smoothie depends on how big you want your smoothie to be- just make sure everything is proportionate.
RECIPE
Add frozen bananas to blender first, then your frozen mangoes and pineapples, cream,

milk (the milk helps thin out the smoothie a bit- too much cream will make you sick), then lastly, 1 teaspoon turmeric

and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
Blend away for around 20 seconds- until blended. I like a thick, creamy consistency.
If you'd made the recipe and enjoyed it, please let me know in the comments below!
God bless
Hannah
